Last week during Kieler Woche, Anna Korevaar won a series of windfoiling races in the iQ class. In the U17 girls’ category, our top talent on the Baltic Sea was unbeatable.
A victory at Kieler Woche is highly esteemed in the sailing world and attracts many sailors from the international elite. Around 5,000 sailors from more than 50 countries compete in various classes in roughly 2,000 boats.
OptimaData is super proud of “our” Anna! This season hasn’t always gone her way, but she’s shown resilience and a hefty dose of grit. At her age, she’s already an inspiring example to us. Massive kudos!

“Our sponsorship brings the top-tier equipment she needs to realize her ambitions within reach. In our work, we’re used to helping clients achieve their objectives—how wonderful to give a young talent that same boost. In addition, water sports are a shared passion of our leadership. IQFoiling also aligns seamlessly with OptimaData’s core values: speed, innovation, performance, refining technique, and effortlessly navigating the challenges of wind and waves,” said Edco Wallet, Managing Director of OptimaData.
Anna has secured NOC*NSF talent status, which remains valid until she turns 18.

For this year, her focus is on the European Championships in Sardinia in October. Her goal is to finish in the top 10. Last year she placed fourth in the under-15 category, but in the under-17 category she’s competing in now, the field is much tougher and she’s also one of the youngest. So a top-10 finish at the U17 Europeans would be fantastic.
Ultimately, her big dream is of course to compete at the Olympic Games in 2032 or 2036. She realizes this will be a huge challenge, but it’s her ultimate goal to stand there one day—preferably with a gold medal in hand.
