SeaQL Saturday 2025
— Save the date! —
The location and date of PGDay Lowlands 2026 are confirmed! September 10, Utrecht, Tivoli. Mark your calendar for a full day of PostgreSQL.
PGDay Lowlands 2024 and 2025 were a great success! A growing number of participants, sponsors, and volunteers. In fact, after PGConfEU, PGDay Lowlands is the best PostgreSQL event in Europe.
This year we’re heading to… Utrecht! Specifically Tivoli.
More details about PGDay 2026 will be shared as they become available via this page and the OptimaData LinkedIn page.
PGDay Lowlands is a unique opportunity for European PostgreSQL users and developers to catch up, learn, build relationships, get to know each other better, and strengthen a close-knit network of PostgreSQL professionals.
Just like the previous two years, we are again a Partner Sponsor of PGDay Lowlands! And just like the last two editions, we will also organize the PGDay Warm-Up Meetup the evening before PGDay Lowlands.

We’ll be there with part of our team and will once again set up a great stand/booth. Our swag was definitely the “catch of the day”…
The call for papers is open, the deadline to submit a talk is May 5. Selected speakers will be notified by May 26.
New this year!
One debate will be held during PGDay Lowlands, with more time to dive deeper into the chosen topic. The topic will be selected from the following four options, based on the quality of the debaters’ arguments:
Read the debate scenario for each topic and the instructions for submitting your position and arguments. Note: you can submit two separate entries for the same topic if you have sufficient arguments both for and against the proposed idea. Each submission must have a clear stance. Remember, the debate is an exercise in testing general understanding of a topic by taking a strong position.
All selected debaters receive free conference access by registering as a “speaker.”
Submission deadline: May 18, 2026 at 23:59:59 (Utrecht, Netherlands). Selected debaters will be notified no later than June 8, 2026.
Debaters and speakers may submit a combined maximum of 8 entries across talks and debate contributions.
To follow once talks have been selected.
Early Bird registration for PGDay Lowlands is now open:
Grab one of 20 reserved tickets for just €100 before the price increases on July 1. The programme will be announced at the end of May, but Early Bird tickets may already be sold out by then, so don’t wait too long!
Some traditions are worth keeping!
Just like last year, we plan to organize a PGDay Lowlands Warm-Up Meetup the evening before PGDay Lowlands itself on Thursday, September 10.
