Bitbash 2025, January 24 and 25, Veenendaal

MySQL Belgium Days, January 30 and 31, Brussels
MySQL Belgian Days (formerly known as “preFOSDEM MySQL Days”) is a two-day event for all MySQL enthusiasts! This free in-person gathering takes place at the ICAB Incubator in Belgium, just before FOSDEM 2025. Get ready for two days of insightful sessions and networking opportunities with fellow MySQL fans. PGDay FOSDEM, January 31, Brussels
FOSDEM PGDay 2025 is a one-day conference taking place prior to the main FOSDEM event in Brussels, Belgium, on Friday, January 31, 2025. This event will focus entirely on PostgreSQL, featuring a single track of presentations.
The conference is a paid event, with a registration fee of €70, and will be held at the Brussels Marriott Hotel. Registration is mandatory to attend, and since the event has limited capacity, we strongly recommend signing up as soon as registration opens to secure your spot.
FOSDEM 2025, February 1 and 2, Brussels
FOSDEM is a two-day open-source software and database event, organized by volunteers to promote the widespread use of free and open-source software. Typically held in the beautiful city of Brussels, Belgium, FOSDEM is widely regarded as the premier conference in Europe in this field.
This conference is free to attend and does not require registration.

Dataminds Saturday 2025, February 22, Mechelen
dataMinds is organizing another edition of dataMinds Saturday on February 22, 2025, focusing on Microsoft Data and AI platform enthusiasts in Belgium, ready to deliver excellent content. This event is free to attend, but registration is required.
dataMinds was founded in 2006 as SQLUG.BE (Belgian SQL Server User Group). In 2016, they rebranded to dataMinds to better reflect their mission and to embrace the changes in the Microsoft Data Platform.
Today, dataMinds is a community of over 2,000 members.
PowerBI userdays, March 6 – 8, Woerden
The largest Power BI event in the world! On March 6, there’s Precon Thursday, followed by Deep Dive Friday on March 7, and Community Saturday on March 8. This three-day event offers a wide range of activities, including inspiring presentations, in-depth workshops, and valuable networking opportunities for Power BI users of all levels.
During these days, participants can listen to leading experts sharing their knowledge and experience in various sessions. These sessions are designed to inspire and provide new insights into the world of Power BI.
This is a paid event, with different ticket options available—either per day or for the PreCon Workshops on a per-training basis.
Blipz on the Radar, March 11, Utrecht
The Blipz on the Radar conference is organized by Dataworkz, Skyworkz, Groundworkz, Codebeez, Smartworkz, Infraworkz, Lemonshark, and Cyberseals. Together, they form an ecosystem of companies collaborating in the Werkspoorkathedraal in Utrecht.
Using a tech radar as a tool to share technological developments is a fun way to stay updated on the latest tech trends. Inspired by this idea, the mentioned companies decided to organize an entire conference around it. This tech radar day is free to attend.
Data on Kubernetes Day, April 1, London

SeaQL Saturday Brouwersdam 2025 is an event that brings together IT speakers and professionals for a community-organized and attended free day filled with technical training.

SQL Bits, June 18-21, London
SQLBits is a leading data platform conference featuring over 160 sessions across 4 days, covering topics such as SQL Server, Azure, Big Data, Power BI, Machine Learning, and more. Connect with 2,000 other data professionals and expand your network.
Founded in 2007 by a group of passionate individuals dedicated to the SQL Server product suite, SQLBits aimed to provide much-needed education for data professionals.
Since then, it has grown into one of the largest data platform conferences in the world, held annually, offering 200 world-class speakers, over 300 hours of content, and the best networking opportunities in the industry. This is a paid event.

PGDay Lowlands 2025
PGDay Lowlands 2024 was a great success, and it is almost certain that the event will take place again in 2025. The date and location will be announced soon. PGDay Lowlands is a paid event.
Many members of our PostgreSQL Usergroup NL are involved in organizing this event, and OptimaData will once again contribute wherever possible to help promote PostgreSQL in the Netherlands through this event.
PGConfEU, October 21-24, Riga (Latvia)
The dates and location are set, and further details, the call for papers, and the program will be announced throughout the year.
What can you expect from a PGConfEU? This year marks the 15th annual PostgreSQL Conference Europe, which will take place in Riga, Latvia. Organized by PostgreSQL Europe with participation from most PostgreSQL user groups in Europe, this event serves as a key meeting and collaboration point for users both within and outside of Europe. Many members of our PostgreSQL Usergroup NL will attend, and OptimaData has been a proud sponsor of this open-source database event for many years.
PGConf.EU is a unique opportunity for European PostgreSQL users and developers to catch up, learn, build relationships, get to know each other, and consolidate a genuine network of professionals who use and work with PostgreSQL.
The event rotates annually between major cities in Europe to make it as accessible as possible for a broad audience.
The conference covers a wide range of topics, with presentations expected to include everything from in-depth technical discussions led by leading developers to case studies from small businesses, large multinational corporations, and government organizations, all running their operations on PostgreSQL.
